Deacon Maddix is an honours junior high student and the visionary behind Stash Away Bears! In grade 5, Deacon came home from school with a Young Millionaires pamphlet and begged to try the program. He joined the program that summer and learned the basics of doing business. This included writing a kid-friendly business plan, tracking his cash flow, marketing, interacting with customers, and more. While in the Young Millionaires Program, Stash Away Bears were born!

Tara Maddix (Deacon's mom) graduated with honours from the Business Administration Program at Holland College as a mature student. She is now pursuing her own dreams along with helping Deacon with his business adventure.

The Young Millionaires Program is a summer business/entrepreneurship program available to youth aged 9 to 16 which provides youth the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship. The program offers youth training, mentoring, and ongoing support, that will assist them to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
